Last little note I’ll say is that in person discussion is incredibly important to me as tone and nuance so easily gets lost in these threads. And me saying “we’d probably have a lot in common” simply means that crossing the divide of ANY disagreement big or small is so much easier in person.

That being said, I think it would incredibly disingenuous to say Sarah and I would agree 100% on everything. I don’t know her well enough to make that claim. You have Team Harris in your bio and I know she is firmly antiHarris so even you both being on the same side does not guarantee 100% agreement

I said this to mean that talking back and forth in a Bluesky thread isn’t the best way to discuss it all. I have no idea if we agree on everything. And as a white cis man I ALWAYS have more to learn and more to unpack. But I’ll take talking with someone in person over a text thread any day.

The truth is that I’ve talked about Gaza and the genocide often. I’ve raised money for Gaza several times over the past year. From directly donating to raising money through a video series on books I did to donating money made from videos promoting Palestinian books directly to Palestinian families
