hiiiiii. i'm bored, so i'm posting this month's faea gaming a day early. i've been playing tons lately,and having a great time with basically everything; i've felt my passion so reinvigorated towards games lately. happy to be able to share such a positive month: faearie.neocities.org/posts/2026-0...
was looking through nso to find things to play with a mostly nintendo games friend and i dled the gen/md one and got jumpscared by flicky. they got flicky on switch it's finally good
i played a bit more and i dont think this'll ever be a grind game for me but it's just real good fun. love flicky

did a little shmup window-shopping for ~1hr today because i wanna add more to the rotation... having to contend more and more with how punishing some are for getting hit. i catch a stray bullet in gradius while having 50 layered powerups and i'm sent back to the pissbaby loser dimension

playing kirby super star after adventure is going from the most elegance-through-simplicity game ever to "i got the powerup where you have to dashdance back and forth to make it good and i didn't like it but the only way i can drop it is by summoning a helper ally and then killing it"

played a little bit of a hori shmup called in the hunt today. didn't get far cause it's hard and i don't like credit feeding too much but it seems really promising. it's a submarine shmup with an upwards shot, where you have to surface from the water to shoot at aircraft. so positioning gets really

okay to finish a hard day's flickyposting... i got a third of the way through loop 1 which means very little. but i think this game is really cool. i like that the game's movement particularities allow cool tricks and application but those same quirks can make navigation really difficult

this month i think i've found myself more passionate about games than i have been in a really long time, and it's reflected in just how many i've been playing and enjoying recently. it's a really nice feeling, but it means i've gotta get so many screenshots for my journal post on sunday fuuuuuuuuuck

guardian legend boss that fires out homing missiles while tracking and occasionally doing a big vertical laser. pretty standard stuff... until its second phase lasers are so frequent there's hardly any room to cut between, AND half its body lingers wherever you killed p1 and does massive contact dmg

nobody told me that the guardian legend has a really cute animation of the playable girl transforming into a spaceship... or that all the shmup section enemies are awesome sea creatures. there's a very specific intersection of ppl who would die for this game i think

playing smb2jp. just watched a cheep cheep fly into a parakoopa and collide with it to make the koopa turn around, start walking backwards and then fall into a one tile wide pit. video games are so cool sometimes

i've been actively maintaining a list of games i'm like currently directly interested in, but 90% of them are arcade styled oops. but there's a few i'm looking at. beyond oasis, the guardian legend, road trip, ultranothing... maybe i'll boot one of those this weekend
