Not to say its bad if everyone pays their fair share for benefits the state DOES provide. But SNAP, Medicaid/care, TANF, public anythings are not "benefits" -- they're foundational human rights, necessary. Your taxes delete debt. Debt is bought and sold. The Fed and your state decide what to fund.

Intervention programs (mandated by the courts or as a condition of probation) are a way for the US justice system to launder abusers back into society & rely on volunteers with minimal training. Victim debriefs often don't even occur when your abuser is subjected to a criminal order of protection.
