So as off right now the Falconeer is 50% off to celebrate its release. And here's a #howitstarted shot by shot comparison of how the game evolved with the Remaster.

If you enjoyed the game, now is no better time than to leave a review on steam and support!

Also who the fuck designed this.. some moron framed that text and then another moron stuck it against the frame.

LOOK AT THE GODDAMN TEXT. IT'S LITERALLY AGAINST THE BORDER...

my brain is exploding at the bad design here.

alright here's a positive prediction on AI.

post-crash: the AI companies that will survive are the one that provide safe , specific and targeted AI.

We will look on this period of slop, market fraud and bikinis as gross and senseless.

We will reject the slop future. There is no other outcome.

using the vertex colors (and counting edges ) to identify the loops of segments. (which will be the base for railing generation)..

I can not express how much easier is when you never have to think about UVs, texture distortion and are used to using vertex colors and UV2 as just extra data.

#indiegames look so fucking lit right now. None of that blurry noisy AAA shit. look at it. It's gorgeous. Not gonna say its no textures, cuz I don't know, but fucking gonna love it regardless.
You will like my indie game if you played these games:
- Crazy Taxi 🚕
- Paper Boy 🗞️
- Jet Set Radio 🛼

My household is now 100% converted into Crossy Roads Castle.

Possibly straight up the best game design I have ever seen.

On a pyramid of extremely smart design choices , the absolute pinnacle of fart noises when you die.

Its a perfect game.

Staysails, jibs, squares and gafs.... classy
January 10, 2026 at 11:57 PM
hmmm making fantasy sails.. check
January 10, 2026 at 6:02 PM
So I can now deform the sail shapes/angles with the stretching gizmo (you stretch OR rotate the handles).

It's hard to say how many folks who would go for a ship editor for ship design sake would care about such granularity.

But apparently I care. ;)

Fuck I hate the times we live in so bad.

Some days it's fine. But seeing EU politicians discuss possible war with the USA. It's beyond belief .

Everything you see is procedural, not scaled instances like #bulwark , nope that's meshdata , appended, deformed , mirrored and rewound.

Nautical clay to mold into your own Bulbous Battle Boat.

January 7, 2026 at 12:04 AM
custom mesh normal calculations.. sweet.
January 5, 2026 at 9:41 AM
I've never put more effort into an UX and gizmos and hover effects, I mean there's a whole world around bounding boxes when you do mesh generation. A lifetime of using 3d modelling software has also given me massive bias as to what is intuitive.. #gamedev
