i had the same issue! our butter knives kept disappearing (i suspect my brother kept accidentally throwing them away) and i couldn’t find new ones anywhere. i wound up ordering from zwilling, i think.

this isn’t really shading anyone in particular, i’ve just gotten into the habit of watching old movies and then listening to reviews and analysis to catch the bits i missed. the quality of the movies are hit and miss, but the reviewers even more so.

one of the many problems with a lack of diversity in film is i can’t tell if it’s a plot twist or not when this particular white dude learns key information. is this the white dude that needs this information or is he one that just happens to be there.

i do love when people use fancy words to describe what i do, though, cuz then i can google it and get better at achieving what that fancy word means.

i tend to say “self taught” when people ask about specific techniques and using terminology i’m unfamiliar with. like, sometimes people will ask how i achieved a certain effect and i’ll answer to the best of my ability but sometimes it’s “idk i poked at it til it looked good”
