For those new to BlueSky, I write novels and comics in multiple universes. My latest STAR WARS novel, THE LIVING FORCE, came out this year; I also wrote the first STRANGE NEW WORLDS novel, THE HIGH COUNTRY. And now BATMAN: RESURRECTION, the first original novel tying into the Tim Burton Bat-films.

For those compelled to seek out more Max Shreck, he‘s a key player in our BATMAN novels: RESURRECTION and, particularly, REVOLUTION. Since they precede RETURNS, including him felt perfectly natural!
While it is dismal to think about how prescient of a villain Max Shreck was, Christopher Walken’s standout performance paired with the fact that BATMAN RETURNS is the only place he shows up has always compelled me.

My script asked for "a typical warship bridge with a good view of the battle through a forward portal -- and perhaps some holographic displays." So @dustinweaver.bsky.social went ahead and designed us a movie set!

I suspect the woman in the hardware aisle Friday who was ranting that "the area didn't need any more bookstores" had no idea that I and my barely existent motor skills were about to spend the weekend deciphering Swedish instructions in order to triple the bookshelf space in my office.

If you're going to spend billions to get the Olympics because they're the only thing that gets people to subscribe to your streaming service to sample your series, maybe spare a few bucks so you don't have to cancel those series three months before the Olympics.
