I love when people talk about game design and talk about creatives and coders as if those are wholly different people. Love the idea that if you have an idea for something you can't code anymore and if you have a cool gameplay mechanic idea you just have someone else do it away from you on their own

Powerscalers are really funny because they'll refer to a character doing actions in a story as "potential farming" as if the narrative is being designed in service of fitting their worldview of measurable abilities between individuals

Saying a work "tricked you" or "manipulated you" is so weak in terms of critiquing it it blows my mind everytime I read it. It reminds me of that post thats like "callout post for mom, she gaslit me by covering her face to vanish and suddenly reappear moments later in what she calls "peek a boo""

The problem when people give me gift cards for my birthday or something is 98% of the time I do just spend it on gifts for other people, which does make me feel evil, but also...wouldn't celebrating the self be more evil...?

Constantly suffering because I deeply understand the compromises one must make under capitalism but also simultaneously getting extremely put off the second someone talks about their own work in a grindset way or in marketing speak. Even though alI get it it still feels like. Ogh
