My mother told me once that the trouble with socialism is once it has worked (pulled people out of poverty) they turn their back on it. When people are comfortably off they (think) they don’t need it so much.
But there’s others who need you to help them:
Don’t be selfish, be a socialist.

We are not at war with Venezuela, yet. The boats are civilian craft. The U.S. criminal code does not maintain a death penalty for drug smuggling. Due process is required before conviction or sentence.

All of the 80 people killed thus far are wanton murders slain under illegal orders. All of them.

It’s pretty simple.
The majority in this country are left wing leaning.
We understand the value of putting our money together to help the community.
For those things the majority can’t do singularly - water, energy, health, education, welfare, public transport and looking after the environment.

EUROPEAN SPACE AGENCY VOTES €27 BILLION FOR SATELLITES FOR DEFENCE

In a critical move that will help detach Europe from its reliance on US intel and other systems the ESA has just funded a number of programs to support that independence- four times more than last year. Part of it, around 25%,

But handing them to a company like Palantir shatters any chance of public trust ⬇️

Unprofessional. Bitchy. Idiotic. How very very very low the Tory party has sunk. Embarrassing.

Watched BBC 6 o clock news. Just a completely unserious broadcast. Chris Mason, acting like a children's entertainer, giving a prolonged impenetrable editorial. Not a whiff of informative content about the Budget or what it means for the country. Just playschool blah blah bollocks.

I’ve just finished watching and couldn’t agree more. Johnson obviously deliberately mislead the public to distract from money we owed Iran.
This should be investigated and he should be held to account.
I’d be tempted to sue him if I were the Radcliffes.

Prisoner 951 is also a searing reminder that Boris Johnson felt no consequences for his statements during this £400M hostage situation and continued to fail upwards + Truss, Cleverly, etc

Or about whether he knew Nathan Gill

Or about who bought his house in Frinton

Can the #BBC please point out that it isn’t migrants ripping off the Government with taxi journeys to hospital appointments. It’s taxi companies.
Sick people need to get to hospitals and doctors. Public transport isn’t always the answer.
Stop demonising migrants!

Government to ban asylum seekers from using taxis
The ban is set to come in February and any exemptions will have to be signed off by the Home Office.

Each year bottom trawlers disturbs about 4.9 million km² of seabed, roughly 1.3% of the ocean.👺
That’s about 1.5× the area of India (or ~two-thirds of Australia) being ‘harvested’ from the bottom every year.

I was just pondering the kind of thing yougov do on attitudes to trans people for example. It normalises genocidal thinking in my view...
