I was one of the undebuted VShojo talents who passed the audition last year. I would have already debuted with them by now if all had gone as originally planned. I was looking forward to everything I was planning to do with the community, other talents, and the VShojo team. Though, maybe “looking forward to it” is an understatement, because for the entirety of 2025 it was my everything.

I'd been busy all year, dedicating my time and energy to debut prep. A lot of passion went into it, not only from myself, but also from wonderful staff (shoutout to Panini, YOU ARE EVERYTHING). I was so excited to join a company with so many talents who I admire, a company that was (supposedly) truly “talent first,” a company with an open mind. I was so excited to finally have support and belief in my vision, for delivering the excitement of idol culture to a much broader audience, and especially for the 2.5D idol content I've been trying to shape since my VTuber debut in July 2020. I was so excited to find a new place to belong. After all, PRISM Project had suddenly shut down last year, and this would be the third agency I'd have been part of. I was hoping it would be the last. I was hoping I wouldn't have to keep searching for a home.

But there were a lot of moments where something didn’t feel quite right, or I'd feel overlooked. But we did our best. I did my best. Other talents did their best. And Panini did her best. As the situation became less clear, as things kept getting majorly delayed or forgotten, as big promises were made and then dropped, when we were left in the dark about a lot of what was happening only to be jumpscared by bad news that just kept getting worse over time. Additionally, I was required to put my Ami Amami VTuber on hiatus in preparation for debuting soon after, only to learn that I’d have to wait a few more months, and then a few more months again. Naturally, this was a big strain on my finances, which was compounded further when I found out that I’d have to self-fund an anniversary album that they had promised to cover for me, since the debut was no longer going to be before my 5-year anniversary.

Despite all of this, I kept believing in the dream. I held on to the promises, thinking “it's ok, things will get better if I just work hard and push through to that shining moment when I can join everyone out there!” Sadly, that moment isn’t coming anymore. At least, not here. Not at a company that kept so many secrets that no one even internally knew or knows exactly what’s going on, and definitely not at a company that hypocritically claims to be “talent first” as they withhold charity funds and talent income.

I want you all to know that, yeah, my heart and mind and body are all exhausted and it hurts to keep entrusting my dreams to different companies and different opportunities, hoping that all the hard work you put in everyday will finally blossom into something beautiful… only for it to fall short for one reason or another every time. But even if it's been “every time” up until now, I’m hopeful for what comes next. So I'm not giving up, not even now. I'll keep searching for a different way to reach my dreams, and I know everyone else will, too! Please give all of your love and support to past, present, and would-be future VShojo talents, and the managers and staff who did their best without knowing what was going on above all of us this whole time.

We'll keep moving forward.
