Recorded a podcast this afternoon with Lizzie Fisher, principal of Higham Hall on the life of Kurt Schwitter who died in 1948. We ended at Merz Barn adjacent the Langdale Estate having followed his favourite walk from Ambleside. His avant-garde multimedia art had a huge impact in his time.

Delighted to spend a couple of hours this afternoon with my good friends Paul Besley and Alison Counsell… not forgetting Scout. Paul wrote the superb book ‘Search’ about his life and time training Scout the Border Collie to be a Search and Rescue dog.

Keep the dream alive by coming. I was 51 when I realised the dream and set to work researching every last inch of the fells for my Lakeland Fellranger series, the bedrock of what I do now.
