I was at that same E3! But I never got to play FFXIV 1.x at home, because my PC at the time was too gimpy to run it, and by the time I upgraded, they had shut down to prepare ARR. 😭

One of the things I love about Uematsu-sama is that he, the man, looks like the perfect embodiment of a kind, loving, wholesome father or grandfather character from a Ghibli movie, and you might never guess, just looking at him, that he's also one of the most brilliant composers in the last century.

Final Fantasy XIV: an elvaan summoner in a green robe, speaking to the NPC named Philcox, who appears to be a hyur with spiky yellow-and-black hair, dressed in a dashing black shirt and slacks with a bright purple tie. Mayeulons sits despondently on the counter at his festival booth, decrying the absence of a festival, despite the All Saints' Wake festival going on all around him.

Contrary to what one might expect, he's *never* engaged in *any* of the seasonal events that happen in Mih Khetto's Amphitheater.

The only time he's *ever* been involved with a quest or seasonal activity was the *very first* All Saints' Wake in 2014, and then only as a "talk to random townspeople" target.
