First Zootopia 2 merch has arrived! Nick, Judy, Gazelle, and Nibbles. (Still waiting on Gary and Pawbert.)

Looking at 2016 vs 2025 Nick and Judy, you can see how much Funko have improved on sculpting and expressions.

Share one of your favorite black and white movies!

Libeled Lady (1936)
.
'When a socialite sues a big paper for libel, the editor calls in the help of his ignored fiancée and a former employee to frame her and make the false story seem true.'

This is peak, unhinged screwball! Terrific fun.

Taylor's music is just impossible to divorce from hype & expectation.

I think people saw Max Martin would be producing and jumped to 'this is going to be 1989, all stadium anthems!' And it's really not that?

But I think it's solid for what it is. I ended up liking it.

Have given the new Taylor album multiple listens.

It reminds me a lot of 'Lover.' Upbeat and eclectic.

The discourse is exhausting. It's crazy how people expect her to completely reinvent herself w/each album or else it's 'mid.' Artists who are 12 albums in aren't really prone to genre-hopping!

RIP Patricia Routledge. 96 is a great run! Hyacinth Bucket is one of the most iconic sitcom characters of all time.

"Now, Richard, you know I love my family dearly ... especially in winter when it gets dark early."

"Today could be the day I'm mistaken for somebody important!"

RIP to the incredible Dame Patricia Routledge. 💔 I grew up with Keeping Up Appearances, and her performance as Hyacinth was a comedic masterclass. It's a testament to her skills that it's become so iconic and is still beloved around the world. We've lost a true treasure of entertainment.

Not only is ONE BATTLE AFTER ANOTHER one of the best movies of the 2020s, but it somehow manages to be a hopeful antifascist movie that feels absolutely designed for the present insane moment. And it is incredibly funny. The Comrade Josh stuff had me howling very loudly. See it on the big screen.

One Battle After Another is now the highest rated film of 2025 on Letterboxd ✨

The film currently has a 4.4 average.

Probably PTA's best directing job with the insane number of genres it hops between & the degree of difficulty in pulling the subject matter together in a nimble, entertaining way.

Could win up to 8 Oscars: Picture, Director, Acting, Screenplay, Editing, Score, Casting, Cinematography. All in play.

Got back from One Battle After Another!

About as leftist a mainstream film I can remember, which you never got from the trailers. Despite the tension & heavy political themes (anti-fascism, anti-ICE, white supremacist baddies), it never feels heavy or preachy. It's actually quite funny and sweet!

Going to see this today! So hyped. It’s submitting as a ‘Comedy’ at the Globes, so I’m eager to see how the satire balances out the drama.

The trailers buried the political lede for the sake of box office, but I don’t think this was ever going to be a mega hit regardless of how it was marketed.

One Battle After Another is legit. Best movie of the year? Maybe. Definitely the most important. Political and Timely AF. It's an Antifa ad. This is high praise.

I will not be dropping 300 bucks on this spooky rooster skeleton at Tractor Supply, but I suppose someone will at some point?

I know what’s going on my Christmas list! (They’re also making Bernard. I’ll get him, too!)

Grass is always greener for cows! They will assuredly bust out again. Just never know when! At least they didn't get into the road this time, just the woods.

Just spent the past 90 minutes corralling cows and fixing busted electric fence lines. In the dark. In the rampant weeds. My eyes are burning from fall allergies.

Not the most ideal of evenings!

Hopefully, I will be up to seeing it next Friday!

This is the most acclaimed film of the decade. Last film with a 97 on MC was Parasite in 2019 & that won Best Picture/Director.

Hyped to see it!

Additionally stoked I foresaw the Oscars breaking this way (I put some money on the film when it was at +1400 for BP two weeks ago; it's +100, now!).

Reading the Zootopia comic book series (from Dynamite Comics) and this bit comes up.

The way Judy is all bashful and the way Nick is side-eying her … hmm!
