The most defamatory,shamelessly slanderous, malicious, hysterical, pompous treatsies.Today's front page edition is one of the most demented examples.This piece was published today......a week after a bomb was thrown by a white supremacist at Indigenous peoples at an Invasion Day Boorloo/Perth rally. The perpetrator's name and identity are being protected. He is not a 'terrorist'. There has been no national outrage at the political level, no sense of emergency, no calls for royal commissions or legislative intervention.This shows us the desperation of our adversaries. Their final line of defence is to seek to purge and annihilate us from public life. This is the insecurity of colonizers and oppressors everywhere in the fact of the material evidence of white supremacy. They have no convincing response so they demonize us. They mean for us to have no voice, no agency. They cannot bear to witness our stories and heritage that are deeply rooted in the land they covet and which predate them by millennia.They weaponize our righteous anger to claim that we are terrorists, antisemites, extremists, savages, or whatever the disparaging term of the day happens to work.It speaks to our power when they go to such lengths.
