Salt Your Water
Listen I love me some bland food but even / admit you gotta remember to salt your pasta water or it'll taste not good. Maybe even bad.

Because you're clearly in danger, how do you speed up the process of the water boiling? Roll 1d6.

1. Fireball!!!!!!!! The spell and/or the alcohol.

Yell at the water to boil faster.

3. Gently persuade the water to boil faster.

4. Go outside and ask your dragon to blow fire on it.

5. Turn up the heat on the stove like a normal person.

6. Turn down the heat on the stove.
Reverse psychology, very smart.

On September 30th 1931, in the alley behind the drugstore on Mayflower Street, the Hellmouth was opened. If it wasn’t for the earthquake that immediately followed, it’s doubtful anybody would have noticed at the moment. Before it was the Hellmouth, it was “the Pit,” a much less exciting name that suited it better at the time.

Attempts to fill the Pit failed quite spectacularly. Three men died on the job, falling into the seemingly bottomless abyss, though it should have been four. It spat out the final man, launching him high above the city until he crashed back down two feet and three inches away from the Pit. He was injured, of course, but survived. The doctors and his wife called it a miracle. He never has.

He (meaning Paul Edward, the failed fourth sacrifice to the Hellmouth) resents his fate. Many may wish to live forever, but very few consider the repercussions. People who live to be more than eighty are often weighed down by their grief, by the amount of bodies that lay behind them. Paul, which is not his name anymore, will be one hundred thirty-six this November. The Hellmouth’s magic is strange and difficult, but Paul knows the most about it, save for the man who opened it.

Nobody knows the name of the Devil, the aforementioned man who opened the Hellmouth, but many know his face. More specifically, many know his eyes, as orange as a bonfire with goat-like square pupils. He started wearing sunglasses to cover them sometime around the early 1940s, he gets less attention that way.
