I’ve literally asked on more than one occasion “name non-cis-dudes who you would cite as an Authority in this space” and… whew.
It doesn’t help that we’re missing midcareer & elders thanks to the horrors that began a decade+ ago & are still ongoing in games more broadly, & many other griefs.

TIL about a memorial ceremony in Iceland in 2019 to mark the end of a glacier, changing the place name from Okjökull to Ok (jökull = glacier). Uncompromising wording on the bronze plaque:
"This is to acknowledge that we know what is happening and what needs to be done. Only you know if we did it".

i think the main thing with spotify wrapped is that last year they implemented ai poorly and got clowned on and this year they implemented ai well but it still feels boring like come on you can’t do better than spreadsheet analytics???
