The Untouchables television series that was done in 1993 was as good as this movie was. The 90's version had William Forsythe as Al Capone. The tv series developed all of the characters especially Al Capone. Tom Amandes played Elliot Ness. The 90's series was cancelled due to low ratings I read.

This movie was scary because the audience could imagine the kind of fear they would be in. Being trapped inside a hotel room, looking for a way out, and not knowing what is real and what is not. It was done in a way that has the viewer needing to know how Cusack's character will end up.

Thank you for posting Toshiro Mifune. This post lead me to find out things about the actor & director, who should be written about more. I am a Star Wars fan but never knew he was George Lucas' first choice for Obi-Wan. It's said that Mifune worried Star Wars would cheapen the image of a samurai.
