people will criticize expedition 33 over a single AI asset that sandfall didn't make and replaced immediately upon finding out that it's AI, but will happily excuse arc raiders for using AI voices because of a vague promise that the people who gave their voices for training were "compensated"

This discourse reminds me of the time when an artist did a Uma T-shirt design and released it during a bad time (passing of one of the horses) They took down the link and made a genuine apology... And even after righting their wrongs, people kept accusing them like "you knew what you were doing!"

I find it kind of ???? that people are being up in arms over certain popular game using genA👁️ for a little graphic asset placeholder that they wound up replacing quickly while there's other games that's running rampant with A👁️ and haven't bothered trying to fix their shit
