I did a double take at this. We have two thoughtful and articulate LLMs who both preach excellent sermons.

“Britain is a nation of neighbours, not strangers — and it’s time we built a politics of hope that reflects that.”

Zack Polanski with a message of unity and hope having been out door knocking Handsworth today.
Gift some liver to a dog owner. Dogs love dried liver cut into tiny chunks. Admittedly, it's not very nice to process. I once startled a vicar by producing some dried liver from my pocket to distract some dogs. Happy to say our meat subscription box doesn't do surprises.
Horrified to hear of Layan Nasir's detention for right months in an Israeli detention centre. Layan is a Palestinian Christian, and fellow Anglican. Praying for her swift release and safe return to her family.

We welcome the news Israel & Hamas have agreed to a ceasefire in Gaza. It offers the people in Gaza respite from the relentless bombardment, displacement & deprivation.

This is good news for the hostages while also recognising the massive scale of aid that is now needed in Gaza.

Dr. Jane Goodall filmed an interview with Netflix in March 2025 that she understood would only be released after her death.
Thank you for this beautiful and moving writing. Every blessing.

Thank you, that's very kind of you, but I am sure we will find something locally.
Thank you, but it's a long time to wait for a decent pasta sauce.
I could weep. The chainsawed stems are what remains of a beautiful compact bay tree. We knew the far tree (also gone) needed cutting back because squirrels were getting into the roof space using it. But the nearest tree wasn't a problem at all. And the leaves were wonderful for cooking.

“I had to break the news to my wife. She hasn’t been able to stop crying since she heard the news. What is the value of this life if you have to be separated from the people you love? Both of us are completely shattered by this.”

This heartbreak a thousand times, for what?

As the very last campsite tents come down, what’s left behind is more than clean fields – it’s the love and respect you show for our festival home. Thank you, Greenbelters, for caring for this place – and one another – so beautifully. 🌱 #LeaveNoTrace

Wonderful exhibition of Peter Walker's Hidden sculpture at St Peter Mancroft church in Norwich on until 31st August 2025. Plus community art responses to its themes.
I was once sworn to secrecy by a couple who had chosen Shotgun Wedding for the entrance of the bride. It was a lovely wedding.

So moving to hear the Archbishop of Jerusalem address the General Synod of the Church of England today. In the midst of increasing violence and intimidation from extremist settler groups in Jerusalem and the West Bank he is a hugely respected faith leader, and determined bridge builder. Pray for him!
“But where a church is wounded and constrained we need the wider body of Christ to help us to be the church in brutal and damaging times.” Archbishop Hosam. Perhaps now the @churchofengland.org will respond to Kairos Palestine Declaration (2009), Cry for Hope (2020), and Call for Repentance (2023).
