Their bloodline is blessed, so you have to be born into the order. BUT if you impress one of them they can induct you into their ranks by going back in time and fucking your parents.

I'm having a writing crisis. I have a character death and it's a character I'm sad to see die, which is good, right? Stakes! But also their resurrection and the associated costs are a driving point for the plot. So like... I feel like they should stay dead, but it would be less interesting that way?

Like to the degree that you can start to figure out what the words mean through context of when they're used and the foreign words around them that the characters HAVE learned?
