It's XCOM in the 40k universe! Don't worry tho, you don't need to know much about 40k to enjoy it. I don't, and I had a great time. While the XCOM similarities are clear, it streamlines much of the formula and introduces a lot of it's own unique mechanics.

Okay back to the RPGs! Solasta is based on DnD 5e, but you don't *need* to be familiar with DnD to enjoy it.

The main campaign is okay, but the real draw is all the user-created modules. This is one of those RPGs you can easily sink hundreds of hours into.

Much of what I said above also applies to Our Adventurer Guild. This game just rules - it's one of those rare 100+ hour RPGs that actually keeps me engaged and having fun the whole way through.

If you like XCOM style sRPGs, it's a must-play.
