The timeframes were a little off but I got the first two right.
Prediction time. The Steam Deck 2 will arrive sometime between the end of 2025 and mid 2026. But, before this happens, Valve will release a new non-portable console by mid year (or sooner?) with the leaked Steam Controller 2.

It was interesting experimenting to see how well LLMs could proofread WhisperX generated subtitles. GPT-5 Codex produced the best results but ultimately, most models I tested created more errors than they fixed.

It's interesting reading and watching the Framework Desktop reviews. Most reviewers don't seem to know what to do with a desktop that's focused on running local LLM models. And they seem to have little experience with it.

EA is the biggest fucking piece of shit company. Fix your broken fucking 2 factor auth on older games like Star Wars Squadrons so we aren't forced to disable it. Fucking inexcusable.

These coding agents are in their infancy and no one has nailed it yet. But Augment Code has been the best for me so far.

Every LLM has specific coding strengths and weaknesses and with a general purpose tool like Aider or Roo Code, it often seems like the tool is fighting the LLM because of poor integration. Constant edit failures and retries which add significantly to the cost for the end user.

After trying Augment Code for a few days, I'm convinced that building an AI coding tool tailored for a specific set of LLMs is the right approach.
