Okay onto the actual episode - Family had 5 kids. 2 girls (age gap on 10 years) and 3 boys. So the designers decided to give the girls separate rooms and keep the boy all in the same one. I am sure this will not cause any problems at all.

Watching Instant Dream Home on Netflix episode 2

My first issue immediately is with the family. Their children are sharing rooms - which is okay - because the space is tight. *BUT* one of their sons does not have a bed?? He is sleeping on the floor, on what looks like an air mattress.

Did they make this house prettier? Yes. Is it more modern? Yes.
But did they actually help this family and make their life better? I am in doubt. Grandma just lost her sight and the space they build specifically for her has stairs without railing.

They added new french doors to the kitchen so grandma can go directly into the garden from a little porch.
Does this have a ramp? No!
Worse: it has wrap around steps, so there isn't even a guard for her to hold on.

Also, daughter is pregnant so they made a tiny little nursery, which I get because it is a very cramped house. But the door of the nursery is open to the dinning room and facing AWAY from the parents bedroom. Hate that.

Watching Instant Dream Home on Netflix and I have thoughts.

Episode 1 - the elderly woman living with her daughter and daughters husband is blind and needs a walking aid and they didnt make the house accessible- it got steps at the front and back, no ramp or anything.

The real test for writers, journalists, editors etc is if they can spell "necessary" on first try.

My tries usually look like nessecary, neccisary, necissary - and then I pray autocorrection picked up on what I want

The nurse at work told me if it's oozing they might have to do a lil surgery and I was like "sure 🙄" until I called my primary doc and he said to come in right away 😅

I have no information on when the english edition of book 2 is coming out but hopefully it won't take another 2 year delay like it did for book 1.
If you want the German version (like me), you will unfortunately have to wait until 2026 😭
