there’s something distasteful in the way people describe the poor as having only their economic plight guide their values. it feels almost condescending, as though they can’t walk and chew gum and think that disrespecting an historic office is bad.

I keep up from all sorts of sources. In no particular order: All Songs Considered on NPR; Under the Radar, Paste Magazine, and Stereogum (magazines/websites); and Sirius XMU. I lean toward the indie rock side of things, so these focus there.

Those with sharp eyes might detect a subtle difference in NYT play last month of an event in one city, w 100,000+ attendees, versus play this morning of some 2500+ events w many millions of attendees, in all 50 states.

Those of us in UX and content pretty much feel this exactly, and the content folks are under exceptional, almost existential, pressure right. More slop faster. None of that shit will actually stick, but it’ll meet a made up metric
