For example, Ninjago does callbacks that hit hard if you have watched all previous like 17 seasons. It's really impressive. Also another odd example I have is AJR songs. Sometimes they make a small musical reference to an older song that hieghtens the meaning of the moment if you recognize it

A frustrating thing about being a fan of everything is that I sometimes encounter a very moving moment in a piece of media that is only really effective if you've experienced the rest of it, which can often times be mediocre for most to get through, so it's impossible to share the experience

Agree. Not having a phone doesn't put you at a cognitive disadvantage either. The main advantage of having a phone is Google maps maybe and that doesn't cure dumbness

The new Steam Frame trademark from yesterday was applied for in Trinidad all the way back in March (6 months ago).

The exact same thing happened with the Steam Deck, which was applied for in Trinidad in April 2021, but only applied for in the US in July 2021 the day before it was announced.

Valve applied for the "STEAM DECK" trademark in Trinidad and Tobago on April 28th 2021, and in the US on July 14th 2021.

Valve applied for the "STEAM FRAME" trademark in Trinidad and Tobago on March 5th 2025, and in the US September 2nd 2025.
