Scene is a more than a dozen Grass Trees in a clearing. The trees are up to a height if about a metre and their trunks are very black and their spindly leaves bright iridescent green. The bush floor is just sandy soil and scattered patches of orange/ red burnt eucalyptus leaves. There is no other vegetation. The clearing is surrounded by the trunks of burnt eucalyptus and wattle trees that are all charred black. There is a little bit of regrowth on a couple of the eucalypts. In the background you can make out the burnt sides of the Gariwerd mountains.
