my dad is recently in his 60s but his favorite thing IS DIYing various repairs based on internet searches. he once used my flat iron to melt the glue off his phone so he could replace the battery. every time i see him lately he tells me IN DETAIL about how he fixed a broken zipper on his fav jacket
