More native late bloomers in the yard. Volunteer crapemyrtle, and goldenrod. And we have hummingbirds traveling through, hope to share some of those too.

Walked the creek that edges out property today. Decided it must be fungus day, thus these pictures.

I also found a weak bank edge in the creek. No pictures of my ignominious entry into the fish pool at the far end. I have my pride, after all!

I just had a conversation with my granddaughter about this. I refused to kill a spider because "They are beautiful critters, and they eat things we don't like. We don't kill spiders in this household."

My daughter-in-law came to pull me from shoveling concrete (I was. more than a bit happy to be interrupted). It was 'huge' and 'scary' and would surely eat the grandkids.

It was a wee zipper spider. I bravely told DiL to leave her alone. This home is a no spider abuse zone.
