My perspective on life shifted when an ex suggested my mother was “in love” with me. I later recognized some truth in it. After my parents’ divorce, her love became overprotectiveness, and I had to become the “man of the house.”
mothers competing with their daughters, mothers in love with their sons, mothers sexualizing their daughters, parents blaming their daughters for their r*pe and molestation experiences, etc.
