I completely get this. When something we love feels misunderstood or dismissed, it almost does feel personal — especially when our creative selves are tied up in it. I didn’t connect with this album the way I hoped to, but I 100% understand that ache you’re describing. You put it perfectly.

A new Taylor Swift album drops tomorrow, and it feels strange. My two best friends I met at Record Store Day 2023 (for the Folklore release) now live in Europe. I thought this release would feel like a light, but without them here, it just feels heavy and lonely. #TLOAS
