This Saturday will see the Settle Station Christmas event with free sherry and mince pies, book signing, carol singing & the chance to buy lots of gifts and goodies to support the Friends.
If you can find time to pop along - it's on from 10am to 4.30pm just before the fireworks!

On last Saturday's walk we're delighted to report that the search for Salmo Salar was successful and salmon were spotted at Stainforth...BUT...they were too fast for any of us to take a photo!

Last Saturday we left the World Heritage site of Saltaire, & set off to explore the hills and woodlands around Baildon. It was surprisingly strenuous walking with plenty of ups and downs to work those legs. A great way to get fit and enjoy yourself at the same time!

Inquisitive alpacas, a 5-star hen hut and some lovely autumn colours on Saturday's FoSCL walk to Kirkby Stephen where walkers enjoyed delicious cakes at the Church Gallery Cafe and real ales in the Taggy Man Inn!

We're very disappointed to announce that Ribblehead didn't win the World Cup of Stations, we did secure a podium finish though - we were THIRD!

Last Saturday's walk took us from Langwathby through the Eden Valley to Armathwaite.

Rain clouds all around on the North Pennine hills but we stayed (mostly) dry!

We paused to admire Long Meg & Her Daughters, the mysterious & magnificent neolithic stone circle!
