I spent 12 hours working on my faucet and losing my mind, but I finally fixed it today, I could share some of the unhinged videos I made while in the thick of it but you can actually hear the desperation in my voice 😂

The coop is now protected from drafts, just in time for icky cold weather to settle in. Doing this had me curled up under many blankets for the rest of the day, my tolerance for cold wet weather left with chemo

Yikes - protein powder got me thru chemo without losing too much weight so knowing I was probably pumping my body full of heavy metals is disheartening!

I am so sorry 😭 I had a fox take most of my flock in spring. Somehow she only took my named birds and left behind 7 unnamed birds I was planning on selling. It was so hard, they’re more than just egg machines, they’re sweet little dinosaurs.

Turned old feed bags into wall coverings 🎉 cleaned up the coop and getting ready for deep bedding for winter. It feels so weird being almost prepared for winter this year!!!

Hotdog ??? Gender ??? I’m like 98% sure Hotdog is a girl, and hens can gobble, but now I’m very confused. Guess I’ll have to wait till spring to be sure! I was so confused to hear gobbling while working out there 😂

I’m also using it as a test subject for DIY stuff, so when I finally do move into a new place I have the experience to do things around the house 😂 so in a way I’m being just as awful as the landlord but at least I’m acknowledging it and not trying to cover it up.

This poor house is so small, it wouldn’t have cost much at all to do things correctly or nicely, yet the previous landlord owners just DI-Why’d every way they could and cut cost corners everywhere. It’s highly unlikely anyone will buy this place and NOT demolish it after me so I’m making it mine.

Rotisserie was being SO sweet today, after I was petting him for a little while he preened me back for a little while and he was being just the nicest boy. Much preferred to him biting the bejeesus out of me all the time.

I listen to Myths and Legends and I love it sooooo much, but the ads are awful. Not cos it has ads, but cos for some reason it will play the same ad three or four times as a break segment and I do not like repetition, it’s one of my instant icks.

I overdid it the last couple days, the severe insomnia last night ruined me, so I’m just window shopping online for things to make my house look gooder. This place is gonna look like an absolute cottage by the time I move out.

Yes, it’s very frustrating, especially when some jobs are absolutely pivotal to society (sanitation, for best example) and they’re looked down on. We have all the tools to live in a beautiful utopia and none of the leadership to do it.
