i can't claim to be an expert at linux in any measure, but i'd be happy to help people w the installation process and learning the ropes where possible. it'd be nice to show that it is more accessible than people might believe

it's probably the easiest it's ever been to switch to linux. and don't let any of my bitching in the past discourage you. everything has a solution. so please, give it at least some consideration. you don't need to keep tolerating this garbage

try mint. or fedora. both are pretty approachable if you're coming from windows. you will have to be patient. you will have to learn troubleshooting, if you don't already know. you will have to ask lots of questions. but what microsoft is doing makes that pain worth it

the longer i've spent on it the more natural it has felt. and the more confident i am that it is a switch most people can make, for the sake of their privacy and agency. at a time where corpos are trying everything in their power to take away our ownership away, i think there's good reason to switch

the powers that be want you to know less about your computer. they are taking away your beautiful file pathing, keyboard inputs, considered mouse clicks, and expertise of your OS. everything will soon be done by mumbling into the open air and praying it works correctly. this is a nightmare.

not that i wouldn't have considered it otherwise. but it did pressure me into trying to improve my focus. so hopefully i can stick with it 🤞 resources online are a bit varied and even reddit feels a bit unreliable. but i'll try my best to stick with it
