The chaos of the current energy system has resulted in the highest #energy bills in Europe.

We need to look at countries like France and begin to plan to own our own energy. Only then, can the ever-bulging profits currently going to shareholders, be used to keep bills down.

😡 @bhamcitycouncil.bsky.social will only resolve this dispute when it stops the appalling treatment of its workforce.

They should stop disgracing itself and get back to talks to find a fair resolution for the bin workers. That is the only way strikes will end.

Covid fraud under the Tories cost the UK taxpayer £10.9bn.

VIP lanes and crony contracts.

Lack of anti-fraud controls in Covid scheme.
Money handed out for non-existent employees
Newly formed companies got public money
No competitive tenders
Poor checks on quality.

How much would be recovered?
Covid fraud under the Tories cost the taxpayer £10.9 billion
The counter-fraud and error measures during the pandemic under the Conservative Government were accused of being 'so lax they may as well have left the door wide open'

Birmingham bins | Agency staff take action

The public ranking of the drivers’ tachograph infringements is just another bullying tactic, along with blacklisting threats, to keep them in line. @unitetheunion.bsky.social will provide workers with the maximum support.

There is STILL NO coherent plan for a just transition for workers in the sector. This year, 2 of the UK’s 6 oil refineries have ceased production, 100's of jobs lost. Yet the opportunity to develop those sites to produce green fuels, has not been grasped. This is nothing short of incompetent. 2/2
