I was up at 2 am checking out @subvert.fm. (I'm member #1,000.) The site was amazingly glitch free for an alpha version. I bought 2 albums and downloaded a free track. Artists get 100% of the release purchase price (sometimes discounted for members), but I added a little extra to support the site.

To @galetteweb.bsky.social and people who pledged for the Kickstarter: I got the PledgeBox email, but when I click on the link it brings me to an empty web page. I've tried multiple browsers: Safari on macOS & iOS, Chrome on macOS, Firefox on macOS, & Edge on Windows. Has anyone else seen this?

If you'd like some X schadenfreude: In trying to retire the old Twitter domain(s) they first forced everyone with a Yubikey two-factor device to re-enroll them, and now they've screwed up login for everyone with a Yubikey, even people who previously re-enrolled their keys as directed. 1/

I was listening to Dumptruck’s “For the Country” yesterday. It’s a member of the small set of albums that are perfectly realized examples of their genre. I don’t know if they could have produced another album just as great, but unfortunately music business fuckery denied them that opportunity.

People wrote a lot of alliterative English poems back then, and are still writing alliterative verse today (and not just about giant robots and mobile suits); @rhunedhel.bsky.social has the details.
