this is the weirdest album release i’ve personally experienced because there was a death in the family the day it came out. i love the album so much but it’s been a weird experience to process so much at once. for example i cried in the car to “wood” just now

in interviews taylor has been emphasizing that:

1) the album is about her experience doing the eras tour
2) this album’s content still directly reflects her current experience (rather than a gap like ttpd or based on “midnights past”)

thus…
eras = a performance
current experience = a performance
