I don’t feel comfortable telling a historically oppressed native group that they can’t have to themselves a small corner of the world we stole from them.
As Emerson noted, a foolish consistency is the hobgoblin of little minds.
There is such a thing as restitution, & in this case it costs nothing.
“You’re repeatedly and violently screwing us, but we support you…”
And ALL of the alternatives the republicans mention (“association plans”, more restricted coverage options, high risk pools) are literally the same systems that led to the critical need for the ACA.
In other words, their alternatives are no alternative.
This is the Republican platform.

Republicans point to a 61% increase in premiums since it was passed 14 years ago.

Umm, premiums went up 113% in the 10 years prior to its passage.

(Both in the individual market.)

50 million uninsured then, 23-25 m now.

Pre-existing conditions. Companies spending 40-60% on “overhead.”
So, who has standing to act on than the courts? And why aren’t they doing it?
And just to be clear, I intend no criticism of blow jobs per se. I just object to republicans giving them on our dime.
Oh look - a native population has successfully developed a solution for giving their kids a quality education… Quick - we need to stop that!
Ah, yes. America on RFKJr’s insane watch. A return to early 20th century medical and public health technology.

Yeah. Incompetents running government gives us incompetent government. Who’d have thought?!
Yeah. How many overt measures does he need to take to undermine and destroy our systems, institutions, and now historic buildings, before republicans will acknowledge trump’s broad attack on the US?
And admit all evidence points to him being a Russian asset?
Like everything else, he just does what he wants and the Republican Congress blows him. “Can we give you another one, sir?”
Crude but absolutely true.

It will take years of legislation to replace tradition-driven guardrails with laws to protect those traditions.
How many unilateral budget and program cuts under the guise of reducing fraud waste and abuse did those presidents make while spending to expand the WH?
Context does matter.
So now you descend into the bigotry of ageism. Nice.
You popped in to comment on this thread long after it was established. You’re the troll here - you attacked me. Take your dominatrix act somewhere else.
Oh, and thanks for dropping the poetry-like formatting - it doesn’t make you read any smarter.
Trump’s Truth Social ghost writers are now writing for Lindsay too!
So, not only are they mocking a core constituency, but even if they were correct about the protesters, that means their core constituency is protesting against them. I honestly don’t think they get that yet.
Yeah. At first the protesters were radical leftist potential terrorists. Then, when there was no violence, the right turned us into a bunch of boomers in costumes. Only problem with that narrative - boomers have been a substantial source of Republican and trump support.
I’m 70 years old and I can pass those tests. Hey! Maybe….
I think she’s trying to cover her disappointment that the libs just didn’t give a shit about her and her MAGA cap. You can tell she wanted aggressive reactions and is trying to spin a “win” from their not giving a damn about her.
I can’t believe he can unilaterally make such a consequential change in the WH.
In point of fact, if you follow the thread, HE is the one who read my profile and chose the topic of what I do and how I do it.
Whenever you’re ready dear.
Don’t know who “obeys” you. Sure as f-ck not me.
