This is one of my favorite cooking shows because I would have never thought to do this. In my head this seems completely wrong but I've watched this show enough to know that it's accurate.

I remember folks talking big trash about this method but it works!
Recent history tells us that giving law enforcement more money for training or other reforms doesn't work. This was the proposal after the protests in 2020 were calling on politicians to abolish or defund police. Switched to reform and just led to nothing changing. We can do better than training.
maybe an unpopular position on this website but i think the moderate dem focus on ICE training can be, with political pressure, the pathway to more fundamental reforms. rhetorically it is not too hard to move from “more training” to “turns out they’re untrainable and we have to start all over.”
