i think you can trace or corkboard a very winding path here, involving the way marginalized communities took to "fixing" dnd or engaging with it through the lens of their own experience, and then the co-optation of that imperfect attempt to resolve the contradiction

i think theres a lot of confluence between ya and cozy fantasy! but i think the direct extension of a completed dnd campaign is very apparent when looking at the best examples of the cozy fantasy subgenre. just look at the cover of legends and lattes
