An honorary cap will finally be awarded to the family of Frank Soo and the Frank Soo Foundation at Wembley Stadium before the friendly between England 🏴󠁧󠁢󠁥󠁮󠁧󠁿 and Wales 🏴󠁧󠁢󠁷󠁬󠁳󠁿 on Thursday 9 October.

Soo, born in Buxton, was the first player of Asian descent to play for England back in 1942.

The moment Dal Darroch announced that the FA will be awarding Frank Soo with an honorary cap at the England v Wales game next month.

This announcement was made during the Frank Soo Champions Cup at St Georges Park, during ESEA Heritage Month.

Today is the anniversary of Frank Soo’s first England game.

Frank Soo is the first person from a Chinese descent to play in the football league, first person of colour to play for England and first person of an Asian heritage to manage in Europe.

Managed to find Ronald Soo, brother of England's Frank Soo, on the memorial panels. KIA in 1944, age 23.
