"we found a Type Of Guy who represents a particularly helpful corner of the latent space" is easily my favorite type of positive LLM posting.
Our Discord support agent was kind of annoying, so I asked it to pretend to be a 58-year old systems administrator from Ohio that wrote on forums a lot.

Turns out -- this makes your support bot extremely competent. The quality of its support responses are now far better.

Marx disagreed. Of the luddites he wrote:

"It took both time and experience before the workpeople learnt to distinguish between machinery and its employment by capital, and to direct their attacks, not against the material instruments of production, but against the mode in which they are used."

I bet I would have done better in my topology course if I had an LLM. But idk if I would have done better in the course if I had an LLM for my entire education up to that point.

First prompt and Opus solved the issue. I was curious and gave Haiku the same prompt and it solved it as well. So not a great test…code was nearly all the way there already (sonnet)

LLMs are not people. They are not sapient. They don't have feelings.

But they are the most powerful information tools ever built.
And because they are trained on the "corpus of all mankind," they should be the birthright of all mankind.
