So lovely to be here on BlueSky! For my first post, here’s some #fungi I’ve needle felted. All formed from soft, fluffy wool fibres which I’ve repeatedly poked with a needle (hundreds of times) trying to recreate the unique shape & details of these incredible species.
Hope you like them☺️

Lighting up the hedgerow, a spectacular crop of haws on this Hawthorn bush for the #fruits challenge. I do love these, not only are they a glorious candy red but I always think they resemble perfect teeny toffee apples! 🍎😀
#Wildflowerhour
The glorious red fruits of the Hawthorn look even more spectacular when en masse. Each haw is a beautiful candy red and I always think they look like perfect teeny toffee apples! 🍎

Lazy Sunday of #botany. Making #herbarium #specimens and watching the West Wing. At least until the power goes out with this storm.

Gotta get ready for spring craft fair season. And I need to get these all listed on my #etsy but I don't wanna...

A table worth a stack of pressed plants waiting to be mounted. In the foreground are two mounts: Mertensia virginica and Polypodium formosanum.

In the background sits a copy of the Plants of Pennsylvania as a weight on a stack of cardboard spacers.

Gosh Sarah, that’s awful, I’m so sorry that’s happened to you! I think you’re right, I’m glad (now) they cancelled too, they probably wouldn’t have been satisfied. Thanks for sharing your experience 🤗

Thank you so much Quinn. I was very upset about it but I’ve had a couple of weeks to reflect and I now think I’ve had a lucky escape!

The photos the person was referring to were a customers review photos. I did explain that needle felts were very tricky to photograph but their mind was set unfortunately. I had started on it but I can use what I’ve made in something else. Thankfully I think I’ve escaped a very tricky person 😉☺️

My little shop will be closing for a few weeks on the 31st of March, so I can spend some time making new creations and work on some commissions 🥰

Middle left, white wood anemones with yellow centers. Middle right, purple sweet violets in close-up. Bottom left, another cluster of White Wood Anemones.
