The best film ever made is Kubrick's 1968 masterpiece "2001: A Space Odyssey" - who knew it would still be so relevant today? Lots to unpack on this one, but not the least of which is the cautionary tale about AI. It was once just the stuff of science fiction... and yet... here we are.

So I begrudgingly got on Instagram just so I could see local event schedules (come on furries-Is a meta property really the only place you can post a schedule? Jeez) but in my first way less than 24 hours I've already been hit up by furry art scammers twice. I mean, Damn. Almost worse than Discord!

Sometimes being a furry hurts. I've made mistakes to the extent that certain things I'll probably never get over. I've almost come to the brink of giving it all up. But then out of the darkness comes light and kindness, and I realize again - I'm where I'm supposed to be. Love u all.

Dear people that plan events: please stop walling off your event schedules on platforms like meta and X that I can't see without signing up to those platforms and giving them my data. Thank you.

I didn't completely become Fenric until January of this year, but around this time last year I made my first move into the furry fandom and created a @barq.app account. So I guess that means I've been a furry for a year now. Well... it's been a hell of a year. I'm so damned happy to be here!
