like, the only Halo 3 thing about it is that it's running on Halo 3's engine and kiiiinda sorta has the Halo 3 sandbox as it's base, but even then it's modified to be closer to Halo 2 and even has an even more broken Halo 1 pistol and Halo 2 SMG as it's base weapons

thinking again about how ODST was technically a Halo 3 expansion, but it takes place entirely within the Halo 2 campaign timeline, and is basically a prologue to Halo Reach, also nobody calls it "Halo 3: ODST". It's just called ODST lol

The thing that will always confuse me about Nintendo is they're anti emulation and rarely rerelease games or put them on sale, but they're also the only company that consistently since the GBA has been "oh yeah you can transmit a free copy of the game to other people with the system for MP have fun"
