This kind of thing is what makes talking about science to laypeople so hard these days. People expect science to be a rigid set of rules defining reality akin to religion because that is how they learned about science in grade school/early college.

Weird medical finding story time!

I have given blood many times. I have always been told by the Red Cross and Stanford Blood Bank that my blood type is O+.

My mother is O+, and she is a blood donor superhuman, having given gallons in total over the course of her life.
