Just got an invite via LINE to participate in the PTA performance at my kids’ Christmas concert and honestly I’m floored that they even want me back seeing as during the summer concert I started singing a verse too early and when I realized it I exclaimed “fuck!” right into the microphone… 😅

Just put on my older son’s sound blocking headphones to cope with helping my younger son find a shirt to wear that doesn’t “touch him” (he is very vocal about this) and wow these headphones don’t work very well at all we may need to replace them 😅

I’m seeing a lot of gorgeous ginkgo trees from shrines in Kyoto on my feed right now and I can’t help thinking that the Sensoji ginkgo would totally look like them too if not for that time firebombs were dropped directly on their heads but guess what Kyoto you’ll never do this.

I did this volunteer activity for kids today which I’ve been preparing 4 all week and I always go all out cuz it’s the only thing I do for humanity all year long and there were these badass 高校生 girls there too who were scrolling their phones all through the magic show and I was worried they’d be too

The world according to a half-charred and hollowed out survivor of the Tokyo firebombings that is actually the most compelling site at Sensoji but no one pays any notice because it has been relegated to the smoking area seeing as humans are inherent dicks. Pretty though.
