This whole thread!!! when I talk about YA authors getting picked up to write romantasy, it's overwhelmingly white authors writing het romance. but that represents just a fraction of what's actually happening in the YA space.

literally happened to me yesterday!! a query was withdrawn with a very angry message attached to the notification.

if waiting on agents to read your full and get back to you (while balancing clients, personal schedules, etc) is too difficult, the submission process is going to be excruciating.

Is it okay to nudge? Of course. But keep your emotions in check. If you're losing it after 3-6 months of not hearing from an agent, how are you going to handle 1+ years of no response from editors once you're on sub? I know it's hard, but be cool, calm, and collected. #querytip #writers #amquerying

my waterbottles were a 2-pack of owala brand ones from costco, and while they're not the most aesthetically pleasing colours, i love them and they make daily water intake so easy for me. sometimes i use biosteel or kombucha packets in them so they were getting... BLUH. but they are so clean now!!

they are DRY and ready to be put away/used again, here's the verdict:
- my waterbottles smell so fresh and clean, better than when I first bought them!
- my tumbler no longer smells like that one heavily scented hot chocolate i had 2 years ago?? WOW
- nothing is rotten, everything is fresh, YAY

currently trying out the "efferdent trick" on my water bottles, shakers, and tumblers cuz they're all smelling rank lately. threw my reusable straws into the bottles too. will report back 🫡
