I've been thinking a lot about HLHBSF and the rest of the Tome of the Mountain Wanderer trilogy and I'm considering actually re-writing the story a bit. As a base I like it, but I feel I might have leaned too hard into WWX's negative mental state instead of showing more nuance about it. But I'm not

Ok, so I've been playing around with a fic where wwx is not as traumatized (modern cultivation a/b/o) so he doesn't have the extreme low sense of self-esteem/self-worth that he does in canon.
I'm enjoying separating out his canon high self-confidence vs low self-worth.
