And sending lots of hugs your way on top of that, I'm sorry it's been a rough one
Went to an archery class today and there was a delightful goblin dog there!

Also here's a little guy for you from a museum recently

The Leverage cast seeing the Louvre heist and collectively posting, "Not it," is the whimsy we deserve.
Machines showing us all the futility of trying to spell English

Does make me wonder how well machine transcription does with languages that use tone

Two little baby feeders c. 320 BC, both made in Sicily, then Magna Graecia.
One Gnathian (style from Apulia) w ivy chain decoration; one w hippocamp figures.
And who wouldn't want to feed their baby through a mouse's tail??

A week of catching up on remap and I dream of ordering a "Danika" at a roadside stop. It's a mac & cheese and cornmeal lovechild, with optional ham.

@danika.bsky.social please advise if I should attempt to recreate this (ofc can't compare to the sweetness of osmanthus soup)
Actually second most pleased to have met these tremendous sheep at the Horniman Museum, sorry bike battery guy
I'm second most pleased that we encountered the dude* with a cargo bike full of batteries who replaces the empty ones on rental bikes

Idk just tickled me to know that's how it works

*I'm assuming there's more than one across the city
Now that we've tested negative twice, I'm most pleased to know we didn't get covid (or any other bug) while gallivanting through London. Despite sharing space with actively quite ill people - masks work! Also fuck capitalism for making people have to be out when they're ill!
Can I interest you in some desolate landscapes getting swallowed by fog
This guy has gone back to his actual home now and I miss him a lot (except for the plastic eating crimes)

For a piece about wearing a mask as an act of community care, I'm looking to talk to people in the UK (especially Scotland) who are still masking regularly!

If this is you, and you're up for answering some questions for me, please drop me an email me at [email protected]! #journorequest
I bounced off that game hard after the first couple episodes of the let's play because it felt weirdly... artificially cozy? Does it ever go beyond bubble baths and tea are self care and necessary for healing?
Also makes the breadth of options available so much less overwhelming! Been planning a garden for a friend and looking for plants becomes a lot easier and more satisfying by going 'ok they should tick at least 2 boxes out of pollinator favourite, edible, dye plant, medicinal, etc'

Oooh good to hear the LP.8.1 is approved then, I've not been able to find info on that, only the LP.1 version from last year
