Deal announcement- Autumn Allen at Barefoot Books has acquired world rights to Kindness Glows in the Dark by Gama Valle (I.), illustrated by Mrinali Álvarez Astacio; Autumn Allen and Bree Reyes will edit. In rural Puerto Rico, Nube and Kamil are friends, but when Nube discovers that Kamil is stealing food from her family's garden and why, they both learn to be better neighbors. Publication is planned for spring
2026; Leah Pierre at Ladderbird Literary Agency represented the author, and Emily Keyes at Keyes Agency represented the illustrator.
