Animal care staff hid mealworms and crickets in a box of crumpled newspaper and the meerkats were obsessed. This kind of enrichment encourages natural foraging and digging behaviors, and clearly, it’s a meerkat favorite.

Having done an AH answers summary, now for a 2025 reading summary!
I got through 117 books, my lowest since 2021. ⅓ fiction, and ⅔ non-fiction, with of course a very strong presence of history in that.
Quite a few really good reads in the bunch, and in no particular order, the top-ratings I gave:
